El Salvador’s Presidential Elections

Upon the official invitation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs H.E. Mr. Jaime Miranda, the Consul was invited to El Salvador (his fourth trip during the last two years) as an international observer to oversee the electoral process. In addition to carrying out his task as an observer, the Consul had a unique opportunity to be part of the political process in which he witnessed on an hourly basis Salvadoran democracy at play starting with the training sessions offered by the Supreme Electoral Tribunal, the campaign rallies of the candidates and finally the actual voting at the polling stations.
